About the mine

Epidote from the Imilchil region of Morocco forms in metamorphic and hydrothermal environments within the High Atlas Mountains. The area is known for well crystallized, deep green epidote often found alongside quartz and other alpine type minerals. Specimens from Imilchil are appreciated for their sharp crystal definition, rich colour, and classic Moroccan mineral locality.
