10.12ct Huge Dark Blue Sapphire, Cushion Cut, Australia

A natural heated sapphire from Emerald, Queensland, Australia, cushion cut. The stone appears extremely dark, nearly black, in normal light, but reveals strong blue and green colour zoning under backlight as shown in the photos. There is a minor scratch and small chip on the bottom. The stone has been priced accordingly.

Heat treatment was completed by our partner in Chanthaburi, Thailand to increase blue tones and decrease green tones.
